Headteacher’s Welcome
A very warm welcome to our website and to our new school! It is a truly exciting experience to establish a brand new school from the very outset and a great privilege. Henhurst Ridge Primary Academy is a school that will ensure every child flourishes and reaches their full potential in its widest sense. High quality academic education will be underpinned by strong values so that the children will grow to be well-rounded citizens for the future who will really make a difference in the world.
The curriculum on offer is designed to challenge, engage and motivate all children and develop them to be resilient and independent thinkers, with a ‘can do’ attitude, empowering them to take ownership and responsibility for their own learning as well as their conduct and behaviour.
Our parents are our partners in this education journey and we seek to include them in all that we do so that they can best support their child to make the most out of their time at school. You will find all our staff to be approachable and willing to help in any way they can as we all have the same goal which is to ensure our children have the best possible start in life.
The safeguarding and well-being of the children in our care is of paramount importance, therefore all necessary checks of staff, volunteers, and visitors and of the school site are made to ensure the children are safe. Staff are on hand to discuss any concerns or worries that children may have and these will be dealt with quickly and effectively so that school is a happy and safe place for them to be.
To summarise, our job is to give the children in our care a solid foundation so that there are limitless opportunities for them and this is underpinned in our mission statement:
‘Henhurst Ridge Primary Academy – providing the roots to grow and the wings to fly.’
This is what my staff and I will strive to do each and every day.
I look forward to meeting you and showing you what a great place of learning Henhurst Ridge Primary Academy is.
